On my Naturally Lisa blog, I have a post I wrote about my headaches, Icepick Headache, and I recently received the loveliest comment spam on that post. It was so lovely, in fact, that I had to pop in here and share it with you:

I inclination not acquiesce in on it. I over warm-hearted post. Especially the title-deed attracted me to review the whole story.

Um …yeah. Read it. Then read it again. Then read it aloud. You will laugh more every time.

I get a lot of ‘it’s oh so obvious you’re just comment spamming me’ comments on my blogger blogs. If they have left a reasonable comment and their link is not for a questionable site – I will generally leave it.

That one got zapped by my magic delete key!

A big ol’ hat tip to Lisa Wood of Best Website Tips for this one! She recently blogged about the new WordPress.tv, about which I’m very excited! I love to learn via video and I think this will be much easier to search through for answers to your problems than the WordPress message boards. (Although I do often find those helpful!)

On the homepage it says:

This is definitely going to be a great resource for all of us that use WordPress! And some of the videos even have the embed code, so if we find a particular video that we think will be of really good use to our readers, we can post the video right on our blogs!

This is so cool, I’m so excited about this upgrade! I’m mainly excited, because, of the cool stuff you can do with pictures! That will be extremely helpful on this blog, since I like to post lots of pics/vids for the family back home in Dallas, and my bro and his fam in Colorado. And it will be great on my husband’s business blog, too!

Yesterday I shared a lovely video with you. Yes, it was lovely – and very darned funny, too! It featured the lovely Hot Tamale, or as her mother knows her, Veronique, and Ashley – both of whom are kick a$$ members of the Izea team! I showed the video to my boys this morning, who both laughed and thought it was pretty funny. I realized this afternoon, however, that I had not yet shown it to my daughter, Sammie. She loves the funny videos that are produced for and by Izea – she asks me to play Ted’s fish one and his rap smack down all the time. She loves showing her friends those videos! She thinks that Ted is hysterical!

Well, her reaction to the video this afternoon, I thought, was hysterical! So I made her do it again, and I filmed it. The funny part was that she didn’t really have to act – upon watching the video a second time, she just kind of naturally had the same reaction! Ha! It was definitely not as animated as the first time – darn it, why don’t’ I have those eyeball cameras yet!!! You should have seen her – throwing her arms all up in the air, all Ted-style and everything! It was classic! Well, you get what you get – so don’t throw a fit – you’ll just have to see the ‘second version’. Here ya go, check it out:

So I guess her big question is, “Ted, what gives??” LMAO!!!

Why are we seeing so much more of this guy lately?

I don’t know about you guys, but, in the last several days, I have noticed a LOT more of ‘him’ on the MyBlogLog widgets. I wonder if they’re having a new member campaign of some kind.

I suppose I could head over to MyBlogLog and snoop around and see what I find out, but, I thought I’d ask you guys first – in my utter laziness….

You have got to see this grandfather clock that is also a fountain! It is so gorgeous! I’ve always loved grandfather clocks and I’ve always wanted one, but, I’ve never seen one that is a fountain, too! That is just cool! It’s very modernly made with slate and copper and it’s so amazing! We are planning a major remodel to the living areas of our house, and I think we would have a perfect place for it in the corner of the dining area, next to the fireplace. It would look so nice there!

I completely love this clock, I can’t stop looking at it. I think the rich colors of the slate are really pulling me in. The water runs all the way down the front of the clock to the base, in which there are ornamental rocks, and also a soft light that illuminates the tower. It would be so nice to get up in the middle of the night for a drink of water and pass this lovely, soothing clock with the water flowing and the light glowing…I can totally picture that – just lovely!

It will be great when we can finally get busy on our remodel and start making this house our own beautiful creation. Obviously, we can’t create it – it’s already been made, I just mean, make it our own, you know? One of the big things we are going to do is tear down the wall between the living room and dining room and make it into one big Great Room. That is going to be so nice – it is going to open it up so much in here and make the place not feel so small. And then I can start looking at grandfather clocks and I know just where to look!

1-800-4clocks.com has got every clock under the sun – it is the perfect place for me to look! And they have a great blog, too! I love it when companies have blogs, and not just blogs, but, good blogs – blogs that are helpful and informative and let you get to know the company better! I learned something on their blog tonight, that I had wondered about, but, just had not bothered to research myself. Their post, Grandfather Clocks and Daylight Savings Time – A Change in Times informed me as to why the time change changed like it did this year. That was such a pain to me, because, at the time I was still using Windows ME, and there was no patch for ME. It’s really interesting what they said about the candy lobby possibly being responsible. It definitely makes you wonder, that’s for sure!

If you happen to blog on a blogger blog, such as I do, on the predecessor of this blog, you might be a little miffed with what I discovered yesterday, too. And the funny thing is, just two or three weeks ago, I was very happy with the comment change they made over there. They added a box that your commenters can tick to be notified of follow-up comments. That is a great feature. It made me happy. What I found yesterday, rubbed salt in my open Google wound.The lovely ‘upgrade’ to the comments section that I discovered is that the ONLY URL that my readers are now allowed to leave when they comment on my blog is – you guessed it! BLOGGER PROFILE URL’S! That’s it! Even if, say, my friend, Loretta wanted to leave her actual blog url, which is http://retta.blogspot.com – as opposed to her blogger profile URL – too bad! She can no longer do that.

Are you serious, Big G?!

If there is one thing that the blogosphere is about it is a sharing of ideas. A swapping of knowledge, information, support, friendship. This latest move by Google, I believe, shuts the door on a lot of that camaraderie. To me, blogger has always been a part of the big, wide blogosphere. This ‘update’ divorces it from the wider community, making it on par with a MySpace blog. After all, who can comment on my MySpace blogs? Other MySpace users. I like my MySpace blog – I like having an account there, I enjoy the connections, the community, and the fun I have there. And I even see it as a great traffic generator – when I choose to use it as such. But I in no way see MySpace blogs as being a part of the blogosphere. They are separate – they live in their own little world. And that is where blogger will be, too, if the big G keeps up with their nonsense.

I’ve been so tempted to import everything over here anyway. I had planned to do that, eventually, anyway. I am still enjoying benefits of having that blog open, though. And I haven’t been sure if I wanted to give that up yet.  I am seriously putting it in my pipe and smoking it now, that’s for sure!

This is just getting more exciting by the minute. See, the big thing that so many of us were looking forward to at PostieCon was the unveiling of the great big, new, awesome software that would revolutionize the consumer-generated advertising arena!

PayPerPost recently announced it’s ‘umbrella’ company, Izea. Izea is the parent company of all the companies that are a part of PayPerPost. So PayPerPost is remaining as it is, but, this is just an umbrella to catch all the companies in. You can click on that link and see all the companies under the new umbrella.

And the big new thing that Ted Murphy has been telling us about and pumping us up about for months is a super secret software system (say that five times fast) that will make things easier on all of us – advertisers, bloggers, and PayPerPost.

When I heard, about a month ago, that it was based on a social network, I got butterflies in my stomach! Social networks I can totally do! I love everything to do with social networking!

And just now, just this minute – I learned the name for the super secret software system! It’s called Social Spark! And there is an incredibly hot blogger, with a very sweet ass, who has the ROYAL SCOOP ON SOCIAL SPARK! Read it and get excited with me!
