11 Days Of Working To Get My Head In The Game
I’ve been tracking/logging my food with Sparkpeople for eleven days now. I’m keeping track of tracking my food with HabitForge. So I bet your smartypants next question is – How are you keeping track of Habit Forge? LOL (That reminds me of something I read {totally OFF topic} in a magazine yesterday. You know the awesome online data back up services? They really are great – and usually free or very low cost. But – but ….who’s backing up their data? Hmm….) Yeah, so …anyhoo – back to fitness and getting healthy crap. I’m working hard on it and it is so hard!!!! Hubby’s helping out, though – he did not buy me any candy for Valentine’s Day! Wooohooo! Thank goodness! He bought me gorgeous flowers, a balloon, and a singing card with one of my favorite singers.
I’ve been pretty pepped up the last few days, over the weekend really, since we had a snow day on Friday. It’s just been a pumped up, kind of exciting weekend. Give a southerner a little snow and they go coo-coo! Ha! So I’ve really wanted to exercise and I’m slowly jumping into a little of this and a little of that. One of my favorite things to do is listen to some of my favorite podcasts and ‘do my thing’. What is ‘my thing’? Well, I’d say you could call it “Mrs. Klutzy Cardio”. Yep, that’s what you can call it, for sure.
You know, I don’t do any of those flirty girl fitness moves. You know the ones I’m talking about. You go to the health club and take an aerobics class and the girls in the front couple of rows look so cute. They are rockin’ this aerobics/cardio thing. You know? And there is clunky ol’ me in the back row, looking a little more like a chick with concrete shoes on, trying her best to keep up without tripping herself! Well, and that is just what I do while listening to my favorite internet marketing podcasts.
I get some grapevines in – and oooh, are they graceful. And I get some marching in place in. And I do all kinds of things to just get myself moving. Hey – “Mrs. Klutzy Cardio” with concrete shoes is a lot better than doing nothing. And who knows – with enough practice, I might just look a little less klutzy. Now wouldn’t that be cool?

Where the heck did you dig up that ancient headband!?! I used to have like 5 of that same thing in different colors! LOL
I have a pair of leg warmers from 1980 if you are interested.
At least you do cardio. I busted up my knee on the Wii a few weeks ago and haven’t bothered to get back on yet. I can feel my butt spreading as I sit here typing. It’s unsettling really.
Loretta – Duuuude! I know you love my headband! I know you want my headband! Don’t be hatin’! Bwahahahaha!
(Ok, ok, I borrowed it from my mom for my ‘labor bag’ – headband was one of the items they told us to put in it. That was my first labor – Patrick – yeah, uh – about 17yrs ago. I’m a thief. A no-good, low-count thief. ha!)
Jen – Leg warmers – duuuuude! Totally awesome! haha! Do you know that leg warmers are actually coming back in style? My 13yr old daughter has been wanting some! Too funny, huh? Just please, Dear God in Heaven – no stirrup pants!!! Yes, they have those in the stores! Ack!!! Actually, I meant to add in that the cardio is few and far between with my busted up foot. I try as much as I can, but, it is still so sore. What’d I do? This: http://naturallylisa.blogspot.com/2009/11/toe-hurts-foot-hurts-grumble-grumble.html
Hi Lisa,
I was laughing about the leg warmers. Last year I found some I had in storage and sold them in my garage sale. Who knew they were going to be coming back? Gosh, I could be styling if I had kept them. NOT!
Good luck with the food record. I’ve heard that really helps, but haven’t tried it yet.
Barbara I know it’s crazy, right! But omg, those darn stirrup pants – I can’t stand the sight of them anymore! LOL And I did wear them, too! And we would take the stirrup part OUT from under our feet and wear it on the backs of our ankles….omg….
Thanks for the good luck wishes! I lost 40lbs before doing it this way so I’m super hopeful!!
