Tofurky Madness

What a fun opportunity for a review product!! This is so funny – when I first got the email about it, I was laughing so hard! I’d heard of The Jones Soda Company before and I knew they made sort of ‘off the wall’ soda flavors – but, this ….this is off the wall! They sent me some Tofurky and Gravy Jones Soda and a hilarious turkey hat, too! The kids and I had some fun with it the day it arrived!

Pardon my camera deficiencies, all I had to work with that day was a Razr phone and my inexpensive webcam. eek. Today I’ll get some better, cleaner shots with my daughter’s nice, new camera! As I’m sure everyone will be passing that hat around like crazy!!
I laughed so hard when they told me the name of the soda, because that is just strange ….and because it made me think of the first time we had an actual Tofurky on Thanksgiving. It was a complete disaster and something we have laughed about for years afterward! This was when they first started making them, way back when – I think I was still in high school! My mom cooked it, set it up on the tray and brought it to the table. She got a big knife so that she could ‘cut it in slices’ …..or so we thought….
Hahahaha!
She cut into the thing and it COMPLETELY. CRUMBLED. INTO. PIECES. It was a mess and so funny!!!!
And now I get to drink a Tofurky soda! Haha! My mom is coming into town from Texas, so I’m waiting until she gets here to try it with her! It’s only right that the two vegetarians in the house try the soda together. I’ll get my daughter to film it. Should be a scream! Would be an even BIGGER scream if we can get some of these Southern boys to try it! Bwahaha! Meat-eatin’, HUNGRY men, daintily sipping a tofurky soda! You gotta love it! I bet few, if any, will try it! Wimps!

That was hilarious! Sounds like an interesting soda but I gave up soda in 2005 so it’s not something I would even consider trying however my impression of the company without really knowing them is that they like to have fun. THAT stands out to me!
Now to my question…you are vegetarian? If so, can we please talk soon!
Dude! If you hadn’t given up soda in 2005, you WOULD after tasting that stuff! LOL They are a great company! They have a lot of fun sodas and a very spunky company!!
I’m on a vegetarian hiatus at the moment, finances get rough around here from about Nov-Feb and it just gets too hard to buy for the whole family – and buy for Mom, too, you know? As a meat-eater, though, I really don’t eat very much of it and I’m super-super-picky about it, too. When Mark cooks something, steak or such – he knows whether it’s one I’ll eat or not. And if it is – he cuts it up for me to get rid of anything that would squeak me out! LOL
Things are looking up around here finance-wise, so I’m inching closer and closer back to my vegetarian ways. And I’d be more than happy to speak with you!
