3 Days Left of Freedom
My wee little children (snort) have only three days left of freedom until the school bell rings once more. The same is true for their wee little cousins (who really are munchkins! ha!), whose school in the next town over starts on August 7th, as well. And their sweet cousins daycare was over on Friday, but, their school doesn’t start until this Thursday, leaving them without care for three days. Sammie and I were super excited to hear this news, as that means that we get to keep them for three days! We don’t get to see them a whole lot, so this was good news!
So the kids are here, and they’re all playing together – even the gangly teenagers – and they’re having a blast! Three days left – it’s a lovely sunny day out – and on Thursday they will all be stuck in the walls of their assorted schoolhouses. I wonder what five children would do on such a day as this? What is it they would find exciting and fun to wind down those last, lazy summer days?
Crazy kids! Hahahahaha!

Everybody has their very own

And here’s their lovely and kind teacher, Miss Sammie. She just loves her students so much!

….except, that is, when they try to sneak a snack early! She quickly jumps up from her post and opens up a can ‘o…..well, you know!

Yep, she’s a toughie, that Miss Sammie! I’m just glad she’s not my teacher!
Goofy kids – they’re still playing school, too! They’ve been going for at least three hours now. They went through the ‘lunch line’, that was manned by me, the principal, because, the lunch lady quit this morning. She ran outta here screaming about something or other this morning. One child was sent to the principal a few times – the tall one – and was still bad, so he wound up in ‘Juvie’. Funny thing is, in ‘Juvie’, he gets to surf the net. Hmm… The rest of them are in gym class right now. It just cracks me up that with so few ‘freedom days’ left – they’ve opted to play school!!

My daughter is busy working so she can have some money when she goes off to college next week.
School starts awfully early in your area.
Uh-oh, I’ve been informed the teacher had a nervous breakdown, just like the lunch lady, and quit! Now one of the students, Mr. Scott, has been promoted to teacher! LOL!!
@Beverly – Very cool! Is this her first year? Where is she going? I know, the school year starts way too early here!!!
I love it!!! I can’t believe even the boys are playing!!
And it was great seeing pics of them too!
LOVE YOU!!
@Tracy Too funny, right? I love it, too! Hahaha! It was a great morning/afternoon – the boys are at band camp now, and the girls are getting restless! Ack! Help!
I love you, too!!!
I can’t believe they are playing school! School starts here in three weeks and all I’ve heard is bitching and moaning about it.
I swear school starts earlier and earlier each year. It doesn’t start here until the 18th, but that still feels so early to me. Then again, we didn’t start until the 2nd week of September. I guess they have to do something to fit all those extra holidays in don’t they?
I know, Jules – aren’t they nutters? Hahaha!
Doesn’t it, though, Jenn? Gah – it sucks to not have August – well, for them, really. I have to admit to a devious, wicked smirk on my face this morning – knowing they were all (kids and hub) LEAVING THE HOUSE!!! Heehee!!
