Hi,
I get lots of scam emails for jobs, I think because my resume is posted on Monster, Careerbuilder, etc. and those creeps are getting my email from job sites, seeing see me as a target. Question: Can’t I respond to their scam job solicitatiosn with “If you think you’re so smart you can fool Americans, learn how to speak English…and your email has been forwarded to the authorities.” I realize this threat isn’t legitimate but I want to at least try to throw mud at them since they continue to take advantage of naive, down on their luck Americans. I guess the question is: Is it unsafe for me to reply to them? Does it hurt anything?…I’m not giving them personal information, just telling them off. Thanks!

The more technologically advanced we become, the worse we get at spelling. You’d think that they could at least use spell-checker LOL

You can also tell, something in the choice of words, that English is not their first language. So not only is it a scammer, it’s probably a foreign scammer. Which doesn’t really matter–a thief is a thief no matter where from. It’s just an interesting data point.

I’ve also started seeing the tax refund scams coming through. You know, the IRS really doesn’t send everyone emails telling you a) how much you’re due as a refund and b) that you need to click the enclosed link to verify your bank account info.
