Sinus infection and double ear infection

That’s where I’ve been, if anyone has been wondering. I’ve been fighting this darn sore throat for three weeks, and finally got into the doc’s today, though I think I’d rather explore holistic and alternative medicine. And actually found out both my ears are infected, too! Yikes! They have been bothering me some – not as much as they were, a week or so ago. I thought the pain had subsided – maybe I just got used to it. Heh.

I’ve got swollen glands on the right side of the throat (a little tiny bit on the left) and they are sore and tender. I figured that had something to do with my sore throat. But – nope! The doctor said that is from my ears! My ears are causing my neck to be sore! Weird!

And I imagine that is what has been bringing on my migraines, too. Any time that I have pain in my head, neck or shoulders – it almost always leads to migraines. ::knock wood:: I dont’ have a migraine today – let’s hope it stays that way for a while. The pain on Sunday and Monday were at the ’scary level’, when I start to get a little panicky. I don’t like that level of migraine. Ugh!

So anyway, I’ve got some antibiotics coming and will hopefully be on the mend soon and chatting your eyeballs off like usual!! She wanted to give me oral antibiotics and eardrop antibiotics, but, I just thought that was too much. I am so full of chemicals from this bout of sickness, it’s unGodly! You should see just my ‘morning dose’! She said that if I didn’t notice relief in my ears, that she would call those drops in for me, as long as I was still on the course of oral antibiotics. Otherwise, if I wait too long, I’ll have to endure the hours-long torture that is visiting their office again! Dear God, no!!! In that case, I would definitely rather look into holistic and alternative medicine!

Anyway, there’s a little update on this weirdo Hippie for ya!

You poor thing! I hope you get over it fast. I hate migraines and feeling crappy. I tried to use a Netie pot. Have you heard of that? My nose has been a mess since. Maybe I did it wrong. I followed the directions and did it how the girl on Oprah did it. Dr. Oz recommended it and the audience raved about how their sinus issues cleared up. hmm

That’s funny you ask – I just showed a friend one yesterday! She is having terrible sinus trouble and was a little confused about what exactly it was that had been recommended to her. We were in WalFart together, so I said that I knew what they were – I’d heard lots of people online rave about them! She got something made by the same company, but, not the Neti Pot – she thought it sounded like it would help her more. They’re not for me, though – ewww, grody! Haha!

Thank you so much for the well-wishes! I really appreciate it! :)
