Going out to buy my son a dress today…

What?!  You’re going to do what?!

I’m going to buy my 13 year old son a dress this afternoon.  Pretty typical, right?  Haha!  Ok, he’s going to be in a Womanless Beauty Pageant at school! Isn’t that hysterical? A good friend of my other son was in it last year, and although we didn’t go (said son doesn’t like to inform me of much..hrmph…), the pictures were a SCREAM! His mother actually took him to some dress shop. Dress shop? Hello? I don’t even shop at dress shops, and no, the child will not even be shopping at the fancy boutique where I do shop for myself – WalFart. No, actually, I will be taking him to the thrift shop! He argued with me on this point, and I told him that if I bought him a dress at WalFart, he had to wear it a minimum of ten times! Ha!

Shortly after we moved here a new thrift shop opened up and it is huge! I think we’ll have lots to pick from and we might just have a total blast! Who knows – I may find him some adorable vintage number with a hand-crocheted shawl to go with it! Oh man, I crack myself up! :D

The only part I can see that might be difficult is the shoes. I found a gorgeous ‘woman’ on Flickr that had no problem figuring out the ‘shoe issue’!

You’ll have to pardon her pal with her ‘britches’ flashing us! Oh my! She wrote ‘Vote for Me’ on those britches. But the ‘chick’ on the left – what a style maven! Fishnets and construction boots – I love it! Haha!

The hubs went on a trip today, and it’s a darned good thing, too. His poor little redneck heart just couldn’t take this. He was full of head-shaking and tongue-clicking before he left! He just doesn’t understand the expressive, creative souls that Shawn and I are!

We had stuff like that in highschool. And backwards pep rallys where the football team dressed up as cheerleaders. Always funny.

You should hear them – it sounds like Sammie is back there with her girlfriends – “Oh wait, no, wear this!” “Oh, this will look good!” hahaha!

    I hope he’ll let me blog it…we’ll see…

That is hilarious! I remember when our daughter played powder puff football and the guys dressed up as cheerleaders. They put balloons up their shirts for boobs. So funny.

Oh Karen! It was a SCREAM!! Completely hilarious! And yes, one boy (that I know of) did, in fact, use balloons! Shawn had a ‘tennis ball bossom’!

Sammie said to him, the day before, “Oh, Shawn! You’re going to need ‘boss-ums’!” ROFLMAO!!!

It was HYSTERICAL! I’ve been trying to get a post up about it, but, life and sickness keep getting in the way! Soon, it’s coming, I swear! ;)
