Snuffy! I’ll save you!

I’ve been meaning to post this for a while now, and just keep not getting to it. My blogging buddy, Colleen, posted a crazy dream she had, and she wanted others to participate and post their crazy dreams, as well. And well, I love this dream and I love telling people about this dream – so it basically gave me permission to tell the story one more time! (Without my kids saying, “We know, Mom, you told us that before!” HA!) So – even though, I’m incredibly late on it, do you think I’m going to pass up this opportunity? No way!

Ok, so those of you who do watch/have watched/did watch Sesame Street – you know who Snuffalupagus is, right?
Yep! He’s the one! Isn’t he a cutie? I just love Snuffy! Ok, well, anyway – in my dream, they were writing him out of the show. Only there was no one to take him and nowhere for him to go, so they were just going to have him put to sleep!

AHHH!! Poor Snuffy!!! So a friend and I set out to set him free. He was in his little fence, right outside the front steps of Gloria’s apartment. (I know, I know, he’s supposed to be in the courtyard – dreams are crazy like that!) And I climbed up on the top of the fence and we were working out how to get the gate opened up. We finally figured it out, and opened the gate, and called Snuffy out with us. We were just running off down the street …. when the dream ended.

But – I saved Snuffalupagus! I’m a HERO! Yea me!!!

Outsource, shmoutsource

“I can’t afford to outsource! I have so much to do and I am so overwhelmed and I just can’t seem to get it all done and there just aren’t enough hours in the day!”

All of the big name marketers, like Alice Seba, who I’ve looked up to for years, say you’ve got to outsource if you’re ever going to get anywhere with your own business. And for all this time, I’ve been thinking I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place. I need it to move forward, but, I can’t afford it, so I can’t accomplish what I need to in order to move forward. Aggghhh!

NOT ANYMORE! …. Enter on to the scene, our entrepeneur’s hero of the year, DoMyStuff.com!! Now you can pick and choose the tasks that you want someone else to do, and negotiate a price – that you can afford – and get the help you need! Totally awesome!

(I am not sure why YouTube decided my video needed to be blurry, it wasn’t blurry on my computer. Hey, perhaps I need some help with videos… I gotta go, I’ll see you later! I’m going to DoMyStuff.com to look for someone who can help me with my videos!)

I need to get back on track!

I feel like I am at a crossroads again, or a jumping off point, if you will. Which is odd, because I find myself here so blankety-blank frequently. I am needing to get back in the swing of things with my weight loss, though. And I guess, I could be grateful that I continue to arrive here, instead of falling off the wagon and abandoning all hope forever. So it’s good news that I want to get back on the horse. The falling off part is in the past. Right. That is the best way to look at it. When I was doing so well before, I was taking a diet supplement. I wasn’t taking the full dosage, and I wasn’t even taking it every day. I think I just used it for the gentle nudge in the back to keep me going, you know? I would like to try to find another one, though. It had Hoodia in it, which I think helped me, but, it also had something in it that made my heart race like a young thoroughbred just released from the gate! It was awful! I don’t remember if it was caffeine, or what, but, I would like to try one with just Hoodia in it, I think. This is all just so frustrating. I remember when I was a friggin’ teenager and young 20-something and I thought I was so fat! Could someone please find me a time machine, so I can go back and slap the crap outta that me?! And if I wanted to lose weight back then (yeah right, like I had any to lose!) I would just make it happen. Almost like snapping your fingers and the weight is gone. What I wouldn’t give…

I really *am* a goofball!

I have these pens that I really like, they’re not bic pens, I’m not really sure what kind of pens they are, but, I just love them. And I try to keep the family away from them, which is a nearly impossible task. So I have resorted to trying to save the pink one, because I love it. The ink is not pink, they are all black ink – but, the outside is a very pretty dark pink and I just like it. You can tell that it is my favorite because the ink is almost gone. Whenever some little hoodlum or their evil sire reaches for a pen, I holler out, “Don’t take the pink one!” Heh. And that is all I seem to be left with right now. I am pretty sure, though, that the orange one is in Sammie’s room. And I was lamenting one day that the pink one was almost out of ink, and I guess I was overheard by a hoodlum-turned-sweetheart, as Shawn later says to me, over dinner, “You know, Mom, all you have to do to keep the pink one longer, is just open them up and switch out the ink from the orange one to the pink one.”

DUH! I didn’t even think about that! It may sound funny that so much fuss would be made over pens, but, pens have always been a special thing for me. Pens, pencils, paper, and all of that good stuff. My friend, Deb, was just blogging the other day about how all her life, even now, she has just loved getting a new notebook, or new, fresh paper – or a new pack of pens. She spoke of the same warm, fuzzy, joyous feelings I’ve always had over such things. It’s lovely to find someone that understands you. And I suppose Shawn does, too – as he cleared my head up about saving my pink pen! Yeah, now that I think about it, he is the same way. He once hung onto a mechanical pencil given to him by his second grade teacher, Mr. Chapa – for years! And when he lost it, he was devastated!

Pens, paper, ahh, such glorious and lovely things!
