Thank you so much, Optics Planet - for sponsoring the previous post and getting me geared up (mentally, that is!) for Geo-Caching again!
I’m so excited! (I know, I said that already - but, dammit - I am!) I forgot how much I love this sh*t!
It was originally Mark’s hobby, and then he got the kids and I into it…and then he bought me my own GPS - and then he quit playing, for some reason. He still likes it, he just gets busy with work, and the little R&R time he does have, he goes hunting.
I’ve been meaning to start up again here in Alabama - I keep saying I’m gonna…
And you know how that goes! LOL! I even got the durn GPS out - set it on my dresser, and then never got to it.
I used to carry it with me at all times, just in case - you might be near a good cache while you’re out. Hee-hee But the durn thing was making my purse too heavy - along with the other million things in there, that is!
Anyhoo, gosh! I’m so disjointed tonight - I’m not sure what my problem is. I know what I want to say, but, it’s not really coming out very smoothly like it usually does. So sorry.
So I went outside with my purdy GPS, and marked the waypoint of my house - I had to call it ‘Home2′ - since my TX home is still in there… And we are 638 miles from that home, as the crow flies. Awww….
Then I found two really great caches, in two of my favorite places in this town - how cool! They’re definitely not my only favorite places, just two of the ones I really like. I marked their waypoints, as well.
And tomorrow - my brother is coming in town for a short visit - and I have our afternoon all mapped out! Heehee!
First we drive by the elementary school, to show him the kids’ school, then we swing back around to the town cemetery (one of my favorite places) to catch a cache, then we swing back around to the high school, to show him the other kid’s school, then we head on out to a wandering, meandering country road that Grandma and the kids call rollercoaster road (my other favorite place) where there is an old bridge over a creek with a cache hidden nearby - then, hopefully - if we have time before the monsters are due home (I use that phrase a lot around here lately..heh) we can swing over to the MIL’s place and introduce him to the horses.
I suppose, if we didn’t have time - we could pick up the monsters and then go back over there.
I had really wanted to take him over there last time, and didn’t get to.
He said he’d be here by 12 or 1pm - he just better hurry - we’ve got a tight schedule!

Isn’t it funny how MUCH time one can spend window shopping in this day and age?
With all of the shop windows right here on my home computer - geeeeez! I spend way too much time ogling and oohing and aaahhing!
I’ve just spent a fair amount of time on a site called OpticsPlanet.net and I was going to come and tell ya’ll about how I could easily, easily shop for my husband, my father, both of my brothers, both of my sons, and even my mother, the birder, on that site!
Until I noticed that they sell meade telescopes ! Oh yeah! See, I love Geocaching! And although I don’t really need a new GPS, I could sure use some of these lovely GPS accessories!
But I guess I’m not really supposed to be shopping for myself!
So I could go back to shopping for my boys - they are really wanting a new telescope, and the meade telescopes look nice! You know, though - my brother bought them one a few years ago…and they broke it! So maybe, I should just get this GPS accessory pack for me!!

…that is fast-forwarding these school days lately???
I was doing so well today - really feeling accomplished and all…
And now I look up — and it’s already almost TWO O’CLOCK!! What?
That basically means I have one hour left of good, productive time - quiet time!
This is happening a lot lately - I look up and BOOM - the kids are due home!
And I still have so much to do! Dang me! Dang me!
My brother is coming in town tomorrow and there is a whole lot more cleaning I wanted to do…
But I’ve got to get to Wal-Mart and the post office…
And I still have to do my PayPerPosting, and I wanted to do some ChaChaing
Aye aye aye!
Well, I better get outta here quick so I can get back before Patrick gets home!
Geez!

I am really enjoying PayPerPost, the company that pays for ads on blogs. Once I got my blog approved, I could start making posts - and I will be paid for each one in 30 days from the date of posting.
That rocks! Because we need money right now! You know what I mean?
I am working so hard to build an online business, and I am learning so much, but, building a business is a LOT of work. And most of my income so far just goes right back into the business.
And that doesn’t pay any bills, put gas in my car, give the kids lunch money or field trip money, or …well, you get the point.
With PayPerPost, I still have time to continue learning about internet marketing, and make some ‘right-now-money’ while I’m doing it!

I’m on Youtube - I’ve joined the YouTube craze! I’m so excited - this is gonna be fun!
And I noticed a couple of months ago….that Pat’s voice seemed deepened since we’ve been out here in Balyhama, Antabama, whatever you wish to call it…
And this here video proves it! this was not too long before we moved from Tayxus!
What a difference - geeeeeez!
What the hell they gotta go and grow up for?! damn kids!

Oh man! Sammie feels sick! Darn Darn Darn - I hope and pray she doesn’t get that tummy bug that Granny, and MIL and I had!!!
She felt like throwing up when she went to bed, but she couldn’t - and I felt her and she felt warm, and she did not look well at all. She all of a sudden was pale with dark circles under her eyes. I guess it could’ve come on gradually and I just didn’t notice.
Oh Lordy - I hope she doesn’t have it!
Well, anyway, we went over to see Granny tonight to give her some Christmas hugs and love because she is going to Texas in the morning over the holidays. It is always so nice to go over and sit over there - she is such a great grandma - just makes you feel loved and cozy.
Her going to Texas makes me nervous - she almost died a couple of months ago, was in the hospital for almost a month, and now she is just getting over this stomach bug, and she is gonna fly to Texas.
Travelling - exhausting and hard on an 83 year old woman. Planes - she says never bother her, but, her doctor says are no good for her.
But all of that right after being sick? I’ll just be glad when she gets back!
And back to Sammie - I know that Granny and MIL and I are too far out from having the virus to have given it to Sammie, but, I wonder if there was some speck of germ in Granny’s house that she maybe picked up…
hmm…
She very easily could have gotten it from school - this thing is going around.
If she has it - I sure hope she doesn’t.
Prayers for Sammie and Granny!

PayPerPost is the coolest freakin’ company - allowing bloggers like myself to make money blogging about things we personally take an interest in, have used, or just really love!
They provide a multitude of opportunities about which we can blog, and we are free to choose which ones best fit in with our blogs, our tones of voice, and our lives. Very cool!
And the company is now going to be announcing the second part of its disclosure policy. This is a great move - for all of us - the company, the bloggers, and the advertisers.
The first step was DisclosurePolicy.org - a very cool site that helps you generate your very own disclosure policy to have on your site. I have actually gone through the process, which was quite simple, but, I have not yet figured out how to make that page for it. It is time to get on the ball.
I don’t think that anyone minds our posting blog ads when we are all fully transparent about it…and that transparency is what has been the cause of the blogosphere firestorm surrounding PayPerPost since its brilliant inception. And now - with complete transparency, that has even got Mike Arrington of TechCrunch.com giving our Ted a high five! –and maybe even a pottery/manicure date! LOL!
Now I guess I better go figure out how to add my disclosure page…I guess it’s kind of like an extra ‘about’ page…hmm…

Ok, ok, I’m their mother - but, really - they were GREAT in their concert this morning - I was so very proud!
I did, at one point, almost start crying, because Mark and I weren’t sitting there with Momma and Tracy, and Mic and Daddy - but… then I got a hold of myself. It sure is hard, though.
Anyway …apparently this is just how they do it out here - have allllll the kids perform on the same day - they will be doing it again in the spring! Very cool!
There were 4th graders - 12th graders all there performing and the event started with the high school jazz band - and Oh. My. Gosh. - they were GOOD! I told Patrick that that is what he just has to do - that was the coolest thing ever - to hear that level of playing coming out of high school kids just blew me away! I was sitting there with my friend, and she played in high school - the sax - and she said these kids were way better than they ever were! It really was amazing!
(Shawn plays the trombone now, and has always wanted to play the violin, so I guess that rules out jazz band for him, lest anyone think I’m leaving him out.)
And wouldn’t you just freaking know it?! My darn camera was dead - I didn’t get to take one bloody picture - and this was Shawn’s first ever performance! Dagnabbit!
But I did get Sammie’s camera all hooked up and running with this computer - so we will soon have a private concert…get a Youtube acct - and post that sucker right here on this little ‘ol blog for all to see and hear and enjoy! Yea!!!
And yea for Mark Santa for buying Sammie this cool arse camera last Christmas!!
